An entertaining and enthusiastic communicator, Michael
has taught around the world, from small cooking schools to the
elegant foyers of cruise liners, from boutique hotels to the podiums
of international food conferences. His passion for food continually
draws him overseas to visit restaurants, marketplaces and culinary
institutions, both to share his own expertise and to learn from
others.
In 1987 Michael started teaching cooking in the dinning room of
Michaels Restaurant, now three purpose built teaching kitchens
later, Michael has bought the small kitchen school home to Hillside.
In the relaxed semi rural surroundings of Governors Bay, Michael
offers small intimate inspirational classes in cooking. Delving
into his current passion for slow food, simple ingredients and
uncomplicated preparation Michael is offering classes for small
groups with some hands on practical classes
Starting with coffee, and a nibble. Followed by a class with recipes
and rounding off with a relaxed lunch and wine looking out to the
glorious views of Governors Bay
Occasionally we have the privilege of hosting classes with visiting
foodie’s chefs and cook book authors
